New Course Announced and February Registration

Our February classes are now open for registration and we’re proud to announce the addition of a new advanced course sequence, the first in our series of project-based offerings; Maya 201.

Our January Maya Classes are now open for registration including the return of Maya 152, our Advanced Texture Baking class using the Turtle Renderer! We’ll also be having another open invite lecture/demo in mid January so stay tuned!

Greetings
We’ve an exciting announcement to make this month. We’re going to be doing a free lecture/workshop on Texture Baking the SL Avatar on Monday November 30th at 4pm SLT. Everyone is invited (while space on the sim is left). More details will be sent out via group notice as the day comes closer!

October Rumblings

October is nearly here, and we’ve got a couple things to be excited about this month! First off, we’ve retooled the Maya 151 sequence to be more focussed around the most in-demand modelling subject, and thats cloth and clothing! Don’t worry though for those of you who were excited about learn sculpt usage for visual fx, we’ll be running that session as a one-off at some point this month.
We will also be opening up a new area of the Sim to function as a sandbox, and resource drop for students. More info on that soon!
The October course sequences are now open for registration! We have sections of maya 101 through 152 running this month in same schedule as last. For any questions regarding the courses, feel free to contact Xenius Revere!

New Courses

We’ve got new Maya 101 and 102 sequences scheduled up on the course calendar for August. For this round we’re trying slightly later times in the day (4pm SLT), which should hopefully accomdate folks who had scheduling conflicts with the prior times.

And we’re live folks! Teleport over the Xeniversity Sim and use our registration terminals to pick, pay and register. We’ve got 2 sessions of Maya 101 running, at 1pm and 4pm SLT for 3 consecutive weeks and a Maya 102 Sequence on sundays at 1pm SLT for those of you already up and running in maya.

We’re currently putting the final touches on our registration system, which will be located at in-world terminals on the Xeniversity Sim. We’ll have a post up tommorow as soon as everything is live. We’re looking forward to our experience and enthusiasm to this project and facilitating the artistic expression of the incredible community within SL!
