Maya 151 – Intermediate Maya Modelling for Second Life

Description: This 3 session course sequence is a technique focus designed to delve deeper into 3d modelling with Maya for use with Second Life. We will be covering some of the more challenging forms to approach with sculpts, namely cloth and other naturalistic forms. This course sequence is designed with the clothing and interior designer in mind.
Session 1: Modelling advanced baseprim forms, working with tori, circular cloth sheets.
Session 2: Modelling naturalistic forms; working with cloth panels, folding/waving, achieving realistically random flow.
Session 3: Modelling wrapped strips of cloth, scarves, ribbons, tyeing pieces together.
Skill/Course Prerequisites (Recommended): Maya 101 or facility with sculpt modelling in maya
Software/Hardware Requirements: Maya 2009/2010, Adobe Photoshop, Headset with Mic
